The Compass is shock resistant (not water proof), works with usgs topographical maps, and has a sighting wire and rotating bezel. Additionally the Compass is graduated in 6400 mil in 20 mil increments, and the lens with dial is graduated in 0 to 360 Degrees in 5 degree increments.
